When you make a donation to the Kauffman Center Children’s Wall, you create a lifelong bond and a tangible connection between a child and the arts in Kansas City.
Put your child’s handprint on the Kauffman Center Children’s Wall. It’s a unique donor recognition project that allows you to leave a lasting impression on this landmark building.
For a $1,000 donation, payable over five years, your child’s colorful handprint will appear permanently on The Children’s Wall, a special area of distinction on the main entry level of the Kauffman Center. Tax deductible donations go to the Kauffman Center Futures Fund, which will support ongoing operation and ensure the Kauffman Center experience for generations to come.
Near or far, you can create your handprint when and where it is most convenient for you:
- Visit the Kauffman Center Schedule an appointment to create your handprint at the Center at your convenience.
- Create a handprint at home. Kauffman Center staff can provide you instructions on how to make a handprint at home and submit it via mail or digitally for the Children’s Wall.
- Attend a handprint making event. Please email to RSVP to an upcoming event. All events will be held outside the Children’s Wall on Level two of the Kauffman Center. Families can drop by handprint making events anytime during the times listed below, and should allow approximately 15-20 minutes to create your handprint All events will be held outside the Children’s Wall on level two of the Kauffman Center.
Each handprint includes the child’s name and age. Installation of new handprints on the Children’s Wall will occur every September to coincide with the Kauffman Center anniversary.
