That’s what some of our volunteers have said about their volunteer experiences with the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. It’s easy to become one of the hundreds of volunteers who currently share their time and talents with the Kauffman Center.

What is a Kauffman Center Volunteer?

A Kauffman Center volunteer is a dedicated and committed individual who wants to enrich the lives of others in the community. Once we get to know you, your interests, skills, and ability to help, we work together to find activities that suit you.

What do volunteers do?

Kauffman Center volunteers become involved in many aspects of our work. Here are a few of the current opportunities:

• Administrative Angels help in the office with vital activities like database management, mailings, and filing. Angels work a regular schedule or stand by on an “on call” basis.
• Photographers We have the occasional need for photographers at our events and activities. We’re looking for either professionals willing to donate their time or the experienced hobbyist.

What are the rewards?

• Gaining exposure to arts and cultural activities
• Having fun!

Qualifications

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and complete an application which includes contact information and a list of interests. Desired traits include: excellent communication and people skills, a desire to support the arts and a commitment to the Kauffman Center. Opportunities for volunteers are provided without regard to religion, creed, race, national origin, age, sex or disability.
