Kauffman Center’s preferred hotel partner, Loews Kansas City Hotel, hosts its seventh-floor terrace experience each summer with spectacular views of the Kauffman Center’s iconic performing arts venue. Horsefeather Social is scheduled to open for the season this Friday, May 8, weather permitting. Loews Hotel invites all to enjoy stunning views of Kansas City from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. weekly and taste the new custom menu.
What is Horsefeather Social?
Horsefeather Social has welcomed locals and visitors alike to its outdoor bar to enjoy craft cocktails and savory bites since the opening of Loews Kansas City Hotel in 2020. The space includes plenty of comfortable cushioned seating, fire features for cooler nights, and a spacious rooftop lawn for cornhole and other games. An evening at Horsefeather Social is certain to keep you relaxed and entertained this spring, summer and fall.
Named after a famous prohibition-era cocktail from the Midwest, Horsefeather Social carries Kansas City pride as it neighbors Bartle Hall in the heart of downtown and overlooks the Kansas City skyline — including one of the best views of the Kauffman Center.
Fans of the Kauffman Center know that live music always adds to an evening. If you’re looking for a pre-show performance before heading over to Helzberg Hall or Muriel Kauffman Theatre, you can enjoy live music on Horsefeather Social’s event lawn every Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
Additionally, the cocktail bar participates in the Crossroads Arts District’s First Fridays with exclusive drink deals and live music the first Friday of each month.
