Directions & Parking

The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts is located in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, at 1601 Broadway Blvd.
Park in the city-owned Arts District Garage for $13 in advance through our immediate online Buy Parking option, or for $16 upon arrival.
Dress Code
At the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, patrons arrive in all styles of dress. Most often, business casual is usually the safest bet. Patrons may dress more casually for some events or they may take the opportunity to dress more formally.
Dining at Kauffman Center
Dining at Kauffman Center’s Founders’ Lounge is available prior to most evening performances. You can also purchase drinks in the lobby before the show and during intermission.
Because the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts is located in the very heart of Kansas City’s revitalized and re-energized downtown, you can make a night — or a weekend — out of your chosen event!
Performance Times
We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes to one hour before your event’s performance time. Parking, walking into the Kauffman Center and finding your seat take time.
The ability to seat latecomers varies depending on the performance. For musical performances, latecomers can sometimes be seated between pieces. Patrons who arrive late for the opera are generally not seated until intermission. So be sure to get to the Kauffman Center with plenty of time to find your seat and get comfortable.
Accessibility

The Kauffman Center’s promise to bring artists and audiences together is reflected in many ways, including removing barriers and providing all patrons access to our performing arts experiences.
In addition to accessing accessibility resources available at every performance, you can also receive additional information that would make your visit more enjoyable by contacting our ticket office at 816.994.7222 or by emailing us at accessibility@kauffmancenter.org. Patrons may request services (e.g., ASL interpretation, captioning, audio description, etc.) by contacting our ticket office at least two weeks before any performance, concert or event.
