Community Tickets Application

Community Tickets is a program under Open Doors, the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts' community engagement initiatives. Through this donor-powered program, schools, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and social service agencies that serve youth, families and underserved community members in the Kansas City area will receive offers for free tickets to attend a variety of performances at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.

These tickets are intended to be distributed to a school's students and their families or an organization's clients and care recipients. Tickets may also be utilized by accompanying teachers, chaperones or staff members as needed.

As ticket inventory for upcoming performances becomes available, the Kauffman Center team will email community ticket organizations with a ticket offer. The main contact or secondary contact for the organization agrees to respond to this ticket offer by the stated deadline.

Ticket offers are subject to availability and often include tickets in groups of 20. If an organization accepts a ticket offer, they agree to:

1. Ensure all of the tickets they accept are utilized. Digital tickets will be shared with the organization's account in the days leading up to the performance, and the organization will text or email the tickets to their guests.

2. Share the provided details with those using the organization’s tickets.

3. Have attendees provide a photo & testimonial about their experience. We require at least one testimonial from your organization per ticket offer.
