The 2011-2012 Kansas City Broadway Series continues with Theater League’s presentation of  Broadway’s MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, which will shake, rattle and roll the Kauffman Center for Performing Arts March 20-25, 2012.  This new smash-hit musical was inspired by the famed recording session on December 4, 1956, that brought together rock ‘n’ roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time. Bringing that legendary night to life, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET features a score of rock hits including “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Fever,” “That’s All Right,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “Walk the Line,” “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On,” “Who Do You Love?,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Hound Dog” and more. Don’t miss your chance to be a fly on the wall of fame… at MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET!

The 2011-2012 Kansas City Broadway Series concludes June 5-10 with the Tony ®Award  and Pulitzer Prize winning NEXT TO NORMAL at the Kauffman Center for Performing Arts. Welcome to the world of NEXT TO NORMAL, brilliant and evocative, which takes us inside the lives of a typical American family that’s anything but typical. An award-winning score and mesmerizing performances pull audiences into this emotional powerhouse of a musical about a family trying to care for themselves and each other.  “Brave and breathtaking—a world of muscular grace and power” hailed the New York Times for this groundbreaking new musical, presented by Theater League.
