This 285,000-square-foot performance center is the epitome of excellence in the world of performing arts. Its unique and harmonious design has earned high praise from attendees and renowned performers and artists alike.

Now you can take a tour that goes behind the curtain, sharing the why’s and how’s of the design for one of the finest performing arts centers in the world — which started as an architect’s drawing on a napkin. Plus, you just might get to see what it looks like to operate the Julia Irene Kauffman Casavant Organ, Opus 3875. Over 20,000 pieces and four months of reassembly and tuning went into making this magnificent instrument the jewel of Helzberg Hall.

With its stunning glass and stainless-steel structure and state-of-the-art Muriel Kauffman Theatre and Helzberg Hall, you’ll be dazzled by the engineering, even as you marvel at the architecture. Request a one-hour tour led by knowledgeable volunteer tour guides.

Only available with reservations, our private tours cost $100 for groups of 35 attendees or fewer and $150 for more than 35.

Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art

Just east of Kansas City’s famed Plaza area, you’ll find the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art. Established in 1994, Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art delivers a cutting-edge vision among modern and contemporary art museums in America.

Admission is always free, with exhibitions that provide experiences to challenge, engage and inspire.
