+Children’s Tours

Children’s Tours provide an in-depth look at the facility’s architectural highlights, and students are given the opportunity to explore the Kauffman Center’s performance spaces. Participants will learn about the Kauffman Center’s history and will take part in a discussion about the artistic details throughout the facility.

Children’s Tours are designed for ages 7-13, and last approximately 45 minutes. Children’s Tours are available for a $100 flat fee for groups of up to 60 students, and payment in full must be made in advance. Teachers who are interested in bringing high school student groups to see the facility are invited to book a traditional private group tour.

+Public Access Hours

The Kauffman Center generally maintains public access hours on Fridays from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. during which visitors may explore Brandmeyer Great Hall at their leisure. Occasionally performance, concert or event set-up does not allow us to offer this experience or visits may be limited to Brandmeyer Great Hall. Please be sure to check the Kauffman Center website prior to your visit for more information.

Arrive approximately 10 minutes prior to the start of your tour and meet in the Plaza Lobby across from the Box Office. Please note, Kauffman Center recommends tour guests enter through the parking garage entrance from 17th street or through our entrance doors on the south side of the building.

Parking is available in the Arts District Garage south of the building accessed on 17th street between Broadway and Wyandotte for $3 per car. Free parking may be available on streets surrounding the Kauffman Center.

Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to participate in a Kauffman Center tour, however, please note that tours must be scheduled around the performances and work calls of the technicians, artists, and administrators who produce our amazing events. Every tour will strive to give attendees a full experience; however, due to our active performance schedule, we cannot guarantee that every tour will have the opportunity to view Muriel Kauffman Theatre or Helzberg Hall. Please note, tours will not include access to backstage areas. Tours will last approximately 60 minutes.
