Aretha Franklin, the undisputed "Queen of Soul," and the first woman inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will headline our 1YEAR2GO Countdown Celebration on the Kansas City Live! stage of the Kansas City Power & Light District. An acclaimed 18-time Grammy Award-winning artist, Ms. Franklin is one of the giants of soul music, and of American music as a whole.

We hope you will join us for an evening of great friends, great food and unforgettable performances. The 1Year2Go Countdown Celebration is focused on supporting programs that bring arts to children and families throughout our community.

5:30 - 7:30 pm: The arts will come out to celebrate and entertain our guests with jazz, blues, choral numbers, dances, and performers of all types. For everyone purchasing a $200 ticket, the evening will begin with cocktails and dinner at The Marquee (1400 Main Street) in the Kansas City Power & Light District. Convenient valet parking is included in your ticket package.

8:00 - 9:00 pm: Following dinner, guests will gather at the Kansas City Live! Stage for a spectacular performance by Aretha Franklin and a grand kick-off to 1Year2Go.
