The winner of three GRAMMY Awards and a certified Jazz Master by the National Endowment for the Arts, Branford Marsalis’ career has spanned a variety of instruments and styles of music. Beginning as a saxophonist, today Marsalis is an accomplished composer, educator and musician. Collaborating with multiple music giants including Miles Davis and Harry Connick, Jr., among others, Marsalis made his solo debut at San Francisco’s Grace Cathedral, which is preserved on his album In My Solitude.

The Branford Marsalis quartet features Marsalis on saxophones, Joey Calderazzo on piano, Eric Revis on bass and Justin Faulkner on drums. The group, founded in 1986, has become a jazz staple, known for their cohesive sound and expressive melodies. The group was joined by guest vocalist Kurt Elling in December 2015, and their collaboration can be heard on GRAMMY-nominated the album Upward Spiral.
