Kauffman Center announces four new concerts for 2017
The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts is proud to announce the following shows as a part of the Kauffman Center Presents series:
George Benson and Kenny G: The Breezin’ & Breathless Tour

Famed guitarist George Benson joins up with acclaimed contemporary saxophonist Kenny G for The Breezin’ & Breathless Tour. Celebrating the 40th anniversary of George Benson’s Breezin’ and the 25th anniversary of Kenny G’s Breathless, each artist’s set will feature classic album cuts and greatest hits, as well as songs performed together. The two are each accomplished musicians in their own right, having amassed a collective 16 No.1 albums, 11 GRAMMY Awards and 125 million album sales.
Michael McDonald & Boz Scaggs

Michael McDonald’s career began as backup singer, and then a member of the famous Doobie Brothers. Today, the five-time GRAMMY Award winner is best known for his Motown albums, soulful voice and hits such as “I Keep Forgettin’.” He is joined at the Kauffman Center by Boz Scaggs. Scaggs began his career in the 1960s with the Steve Miller Band. His famous albums include Silk Degrees, Middle Man, and the recently released A Fool to Care.
Mary Chapin Carpenter with special guest Sarah Jarosz

Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Mary Chapin Carpenter’s career has spanned 14 albums and more than 14 million records sold. She has won five GRAMMY awards and was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Carpenter recently released the album The Things That We Are Made Of, and is celebrating the album with a tour this summer. She is joined by special guest, two-time GRAMMY Award winner Sarah Jarosz.
Vienna Boys Choir

The history of the Vienna Boys Choir began centuries ago, when boys began singing at Vienna’s Imperial Chapel. Since the 14th century, boys were part of Viennese Court musicians that included Mozart and Salieri, among others. Today, the group has traveled the world, wowing audiences with their beautiful tone and angelic voices.
