COVID-19 Update: Please read about our event requirements and health policies.

Event Updates

The safety of our guests, staff and volunteers is of the utmost importance to us. As news about the coronavirus, or COVID-19, continues to develop, we want to share with you some important information. For a list of health and safety updates, visit kauffmancenter.org/health.

Effective Oct. 12:

A negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test taken within 72 hours prior to a performance will now be accepted as an alternative to proof of vaccination (subject to artist approval) for Kauffman Center Presents performances and other select performances from touring/community arts organizations presented throughout the season.

All patrons, regardless of age, will be required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative test for these select events. For a list of acceptable COVID-19 tests and additional FAQs, visit our health page.

PLEASE NOTE: Organizations NOT accepting negative COVID-19 tests and requiring proof of full vaccination at performances include:

  • Kansas City Ballet
  • Kansas City Symphony – Select holiday performances will allow negative COVID-19 test for children 11 years old and under. COVID tests must be administered by an official testing center (pharmacy, healthcare provider, clinic/laboratory, etc.). Over-the-counter, self-administered tests will not be accepted. See the table below for a full list of event requirements.
  • Lyric Opera of Kansas City
  • Harriman-Jewell Series

Photo IDs are always required for all patrons regardless of vaccination status.

A list of all public performances currently scheduled through December 31 including accepted admission requirements can be found below.

For more information about the COVID-19 protocols at a specific event, please visit the organization’s website that issued your tickets for additional information.
